Cooking at high altitudeis different and can be  difficult. At sea level, water boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit, but as air pressure drops, water boils at lower temperatures. In metro Denver, water boils at 202 degrees. This means that food cooks at lower temperatures and the cooking times will be longer. Lower air pressure also causes baked goods to rise faster; therefore, less leavening is needed. Water evaporates much more quickly at high altitude than
at sea level.

Moving Your Pet… Moving your pet to a new home can be jst as stressful on your pet as it is on you. The following suggestions may help yourpet with a smooth transition through the move.

·
Consult your vet at least three weeks before moving  to determine if any medications or assistance will be  needed.
· Gather supplies familiar to your pet such as food, water, medications, bedding and toys.
· Isolate your pet from the moving activity as much as possible to maintian a safe and as close to normal living routine.
· Be sure proper identification tags are worn and up-to-date, including any new phone numbers.
· Orient your pet to the new surroundings, such as bedding, food, water and toys. A walk in an around the new yard will help.
· Be patient, reassuring and loving while your pet adjusts to thier new surroundings.
Water, Sewer and Sanitation Services
Most of south metro Denver's water is supplied  from a network of underground aquifers instead of from mountain snowmelt. The Denver Water Board and other water districts draw water from many reservoirs in the Rocky mountains.  These reservoirs are supplied by run-off from snowmelt. Nearly 50 percent of Denver Water
customers live in the surrounding suburbs
